How old / how much should my baby weigh to use the Bowie?
The Bowie is safety tested and approved for use from 3.2 kg (7 lbs) to 20.4 kg (45 lbs).
Why not from birth, like some other brands advise?
Bowie can safely be used from 3.2 kg, but we deliberately recommend waiting until 5 weeks precisely because the risk of suffocation is highest in the very first weeks of life. We are not obliged to do so, but safety first.
Can I breastfeed while my baby is in the Bowie?
Breastfeeding in a carrier is possible, but it may pose a suffocation risk. Always:. • Remove your baby from the feeding position immediately after breastfeeding. • Reposition your baby in a safe, upright position. • Ensure your baby’s airway remains
Can I wear the Bowie with a winter coat on?

Is the Bowie safe? What safety standards does it meet?
Bowie is tested according to EN 13209, the European safety standard for soft baby and toddler carriers, and is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified (certificate 21.HTR.82358).
Is the Bowie hip-healthy / recognized by a hip dysplasia institute?
Yes. The Bowie is designed to support a hip-healthy “M-position,” with your baby’s knees higher than their hips and their thighs supported from knee to knee.
Is the Bowie suitable for premature babies or babies with a medical condition?

Some color fading may occur over time, especially with frequent washing. Always follow the care instructions to help preserve the color. If you notice unusual discoloration, please contact our customer service team.
